The launch-style PS5 with a disc drive uses its own console template.
Original PS5 Digital
The original disc-free PS5 has a different body shape from the disc model.

Can you skin only the middle section of a PS5?
Yes. One of the useful differences with XtremeSkins is that supported PS5 models can be customised by section, including the centre area where offered. If the white outer plates already suit your setup, you do not have to cover them.

PS5 skin vs replacement plates
A vinyl skin changes the colour or texture of the existing console surface and adds very little thickness. Replacement plates physically swap the outer shell sections. They are different products and solve different needs.
If you mainly want custom colour, texture and cosmetic surface protection, a skin is the lighter-touch option. If you want to physically replace the shell panels, replacement covers are the other route.
Original PS5 vs Slim vs Pro: why the exact model matters
These consoles are not one interchangeable shape. Outer-panel geometry, centre sections and disc-drive layouts differ, so precision-cut skins must match the exact console.
