Model number and serial number are different
The model code identifies a hardware type. The serial identifies the individual console. A serial sticker or an entry in Serial Information is therefore not the same thing as reading the model code.
Do not post a complete serial number in a public photo. For skin advice, send the model code and a photograph showing the console shape and relevant fitting surface, with private identifiers hidden.
Do not read the dock or controller label by mistake
The dock is an accessory with its own model information. Nintendo's UK list includes HEG-007 for a Switch dock with a LAN port and BEE-005 for the Switch 2 dock. Neither is the model code of the tablet-style console.
Identify the dock you actually own before choosing dock coverage, particularly with a second-hand setup or a replacement accessory. A console model does not automatically identify everything supplied in a mixed bundle.
Colour and appearance are supporting clues
Use the original purchase record and the manufacturer's illustrations to cross-check the code. Do not identify a console solely from white, neon or special-edition controller colours.
A replacement shell, changed controls or an existing wrap may hide its original appearance. Tell us about any modifications before assuming a skin made for the original shell will fit.
Cannot read the label?
Check the original console packaging or receipt, making sure it belongs to that device. Use the official Nintendo identification page for the relevant model's label locations.
Do not peel off an existing skin, scrape lettering or take the device apart simply to choose a new finish. Send us the information you can read and a clear overall photograph first. If the hardware remains uncertain, ask Nintendo to confirm it before ordering.
Choose the available pieces only after confirming the model
Open the matching listing and review its current sections. Console, controller and dock pieces are not automatically included together, and coverage can differ between products.
A finish photograph illustrates a design, not the contents of every kit. Adhesive vinyl is not a replacement shell or display protector, and required openings must remain clear.

Switch identification questions
Is an OLED Switch the same model as Switch 2?
No. The table separates HEG-001 OLED hardware from the BEE-001 Switch 2 family. Choose the product matching the actual console.
Does the model code confirm that you sell a skin for it?
No. It identifies the hardware. Check our current selector for supported products, finishes and coverage; do not substitute the closest-looking model.
Can I order by the controller colours?
No. Use the console model code and check accessory models separately. Colours or artwork are not reliable template identifiers.
