An edge lifting?
Start with the cause.
More pressure is not always the answer. Check the material, alignment and surface before trying to rescue a bubble, wrinkle or loose corner.

Why might a skin edge lift?
Possible contributors include contamination, incorrect positioning, material under tension, repeated handling or a case catching the edge. These are things to check, not a diagnosis we can make from the word “lifting” alone.
Check the position before adding heat
Is the piece centred on its intended surface? Does it extend over a curved transition, a moving joint or an opening that should remain clear? A small, even margin can be intentional; our edge-gap guide explains why.
Do not pull the material farther just to hide a margin. If the cut-outs line up only when the vinyl is stretched, check the model and fitting instructions before continuing.
Look for something catching the edge
Check the fit of any case, sleeve or attached accessory. Stop using a tight accessory over the skin if it catches the vinyl. Repeatedly pressing the edge back down without addressing that contact may not solve the problem.
If the adhesive has picked up lint or the original surface is peeling, extra heat and pressure are not reliable fixes. Do not add glue, double-sided tape or solvent under the skin. Send us photographs before doing anything that makes it harder to inspect.
Is it trapped air, contamination or clear-film haze?
A smooth raised pocket under dry-fit vinyl
It may be trapped air. Follow the instructions for that material and gently work towards an available edge, without heavy pressure on the device. Air-release adhesive helps on compatible finishes, but does not guarantee that every bubble will disappear. Do not puncture the vinyl with a pin.
A small fixed bump or sharp-looking speck
Contamination is one possibility. Air channels cannot make a solid object disappear. Do not grind it into the surface or repeatedly lift and handle the adhesive. Contact us if the supplied fitting method does not resolve it.
Milky or patchy areas in newly fitted clear film
Clear film follows a wet process and can look patchy while drying. That is different from a dry-vinyl bubble. Use the clear-film instructions and allow the advised settling time. Persistent marks can also have other causes; do not assume every mark is moisture or promise that it will clear by a fixed deadline.
Our air-release guide explains what the adhesive channels do. It is not permission to use the same technique on every film, display protector or delicate surface.
Wrinkles, creases and cut-outs that will not align
Check that the correct piece is facing the intended direction and belongs to the exact model. Do not use a different phone's camera position, a similar laptop size or a finish photograph as a template.
Early repositioning may be possible where the material and supplied instructions allow it. Repeated lifting, pulling or folding can change the material or contaminate the adhesive. A crease is not automatically repairable, and reheating is not a reset button.
For curved areas, use only the gentle warmth called for by the product's fitting guide. Do not use a heat gun, keep reheating one spot or make the device hot. Never cut the skin while it is on the device.
What if it looked fine at first?
Tell us when the problem appeared and what changed around that time. Useful details include a newly fitted case, a different cleaning product, repeated rubbing in a sleeve or lifting after normal use without an obvious cause.
We need those details to distinguish a fitting problem from wear, accessory interference or a possible product issue. Do not assume it must be your fault—or that another round of heating will fix it.
Send enough information for useful help
Send your order number, exact device model, finish, affected section and when it was fitted. Include one photograph showing the whole piece and one close-up showing the edge, bump or misalignment. Tell us whether it is clear film and whether you have already used heat or attempted repositioning.
Keep serial numbers, IMEI numbers, account details and other private information out of photographs. Leave the remaining pieces on their backing while we check the issue.
Should I remove it and start again?
Not automatically. Ask us before removing the whole skin if a close-up can show the problem. A removed or stretched piece should not be assumed reusable. If removal is appropriate, follow the removal guide, especially on soft-touch or damaged surfaces.
