Can't see your model listed? Use similar headphones with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Shapes and cut-outs may differ, so always use a skin made for your exact model. Clear skins require separate instructions.

Before you start

Check the model

Confirm Beats Solo 3 on your order and identify the pieces in your chosen coverage. Keep unused sections on the backing.

Clean and dry

Switch off and unplug the headphones. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning advice, keeping moisture away from cushions and openings.

Set yourself up

Use clean, dry hands and a well-lit workspace. Watch the video first with your supplied instructions nearby.

Fitting your Beats skin

Use the video for exact positioning and order. Only fit the intended exterior surfaces.

  1. Check each piece

Match the cup side, outer edges and cut-outs before pressing. Do not stretch vinyl into place.

  2. Apply progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth gradually without repeatedly pulling the adhesive.

  3. Finish the curves

Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or make the headphones hot.

  4. Check moving parts

Keep hinges, cushions, microphones, ports and controls unobstructed. Do not bridge a moving joint with vinyl.

Installation questions

Can the skin cover the cushions?

No. Fit each piece only to its intended exterior panel, not on soft cushions or across a hinge.

What if a curved edge will not sit down?

Check alignment before adding pressure or warmth. Read our fitting troubleshooting guide or send us a photo.
