Can't see your model listed? Use a similar model with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Cut-outs and alignment points may differ, so always use a skin made for your exact headphones. Clear skins have separate fitting instructions.

Before you start

Check the model

Confirm your exact Bose QC35 version and chosen coverage. Identify each intended piece and leave unused sections on the backing.

Clean and dry

Switch off and unplug the headphones. Follow Bose's cleaning advice, keeping moisture away from cushions and openings.

Set yourself up

Use clean, dry hands and a well-lit workspace. Watch the video first with the supplied instructions nearby.

Fitting your Bose headphone skin

Use the video for the exact positioning and order. Apply only to the intended exterior surfaces.

  1. Match the cup pieces

Check the intended side, outer edges and cut-outs before pressing firmly. Do not stretch vinyl into place.

  2. Smooth gradually

Follow the backing-removal method shown and work progressively without repeatedly lifting the adhesive.

  3. Finish the curves

Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or make the headphones hot.

  4. Check movement

Keep hinges, cushions, microphones, ports and controls clear. Do not bridge a moving joint with vinyl.

Installation questions

Does the skin go over the ear cushions?

No. Fit each piece only to its intended exterior panel, not to the cushions or across a moving hinge.

What if a curved edge will not sit down?

Check alignment before adding pressure or warmth. See our troubleshooting guide or send us a photo.
