Can't see your model listed? Use a similar laptop with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Panel dimensions and cut-outs may differ, so always use a skin made for your exact model. Clear skins need separate instructions; do not wet-fit a laptop using phone instructions.

Before you start

Check the model number

Match the full Dell XPS 13 model to your order, not just the screen size. Leave unused pieces on the backing.

Clean and dry

Shut down and unplug the laptop. Follow Dell's cleaning advice and keep moisture away from ports, keys and openings.

Make room to work

Use a clean, stable surface and clean, dry hands. Watch the video first with your fitting instructions beside you.

Fitting your Dell XPS 13 skin

Use the video for the exact positioning and order.

  1. Check all edges

Compare the outer edges and any logo cut-out together before pressing. Do not stretch a panel to make a corner reach.

  2. Apply progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth gradually without repeatedly pulling a large piece.

  3. Finish carefully

Use gentle warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or overheat the laptop.

  4. Inspect the clearances

Keep vents, ports, hinges, keyboard and trackpad unobstructed. Fit only the surfaces covered by your chosen option.

Installation questions

Why does the same screen size not guarantee a fit?

The full model determines the panel shape and cut-outs. Check your model number against the order before applying any piece.

What if the panel will not align?

Do not stretch or trim it on the laptop. See our fitting troubleshooting guide or send a photo.
