Google Pixel 9 skin installation video

Follow our Google Pixel 9 fitting video, then keep the reminders below handy. Check your exact model and identify the back, camera-area and side pieces included in your order.

Fitting a clear skin? Clear Matt and Clear Gloss need the separate wet-fitting guide, not these dry-vinyl reminders.

Can't see your model listed? Use a similar model with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Cut-outs and alignment points may differ, so always use a skin made for your exact device.

A little preparation goes a long way

Before you start

Check your pieces

Confirm Pixel 9 on your order and check your coverage. Keep any unused pieces on the backing while identifying their intended positions.

Clean and dry

Switch off and unplug the phone. Follow Google's surface-care advice, keep moisture away from openings and let surfaces dry fully.

Set yourself up

Use clean, dry hands and a well-lit workspace. Watch the video first with your supplied instructions nearby.

Fitting your Pixel 9 skin

Use the video for exact positioning and order. Coverage depends on your chosen option.

  1. Check the reference points

Compare the intended outer edges and camera-area cut-outs before pressing. Do not stretch the skin to correct alignment.

  2. Apply progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth the vinyl gradually without repeatedly pulling the adhesive.

  3. Finish the contours

Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or make your phone hot.

  4. Inspect the finished fit

Keep lenses, flash, microphones, buttons and ports clear. Do not force a tight case over a skin edge.

Installation questions

Should I align using the logo alone?

Check all the reference points shown in the video, including the outer edges and camera area. Do not pull the skin to make one point reach.

What if a camera-area piece does not match?

Check your exact Pixel model, piece and orientation before fitting. Send a photo rather than trimming the vinyl on the phone.

What about bubbles or lifting?

Avoid pins or extra force. See our fitting troubleshooting guide.
