Can't see your model listed? A similar model with the same skin type can demonstrate the basic method. Panel shapes and alignment points may differ: always use the skin made for your exact MacBook. Do not use a wet-fitting method on a laptop.

Before you start

Check the model

Confirm the 13.6-inch M2 Air and your selected panels. Do not assume an older wedge-shaped Air uses the same skin.

Prepare the surfaces

Shut down and unplug the MacBook. Follow Apple's cleaning advice, keep moisture away from openings and let surfaces dry fully.

Make room to work

Use a clean, stable surface and good lighting. Keep unused panels on the backing and your fitting instructions nearby.

Fitting your MacBook Air skin

Use the video for the exact reference points and application order.

  1. Align the lid panel

Compare the outer perimeter before pressing firmly. Where your skin has a logo cut-out, check it alongside the edges rather than using it alone.

  2. Smooth progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown. Work gradually across the panel without stretching the vinyl.

  3. Check additional panels

Match each supplied piece to its intended surface. Keep feet, hinges, ports, keys and functional openings clear.

  4. Inspect the finish

Check that edges sit neatly and nothing interferes with opening or closing. Do not trim the skin while it is on your MacBook.

Installation questions

What if the logo and edges will not line up?

Check model, orientation and panel position. Do not stretch the vinyl to compensate. Send us a photo before continuing.
