Can't see your model listed? Use a similar model with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Panel shapes and cut-outs can differ, so always use a skin made for your exact MacBook. Do not wet-fit a laptop skin.

Before you start

Confirm the generation

Check the 16-inch 2021 model against your order. Identify lid, bottom and any additional panels supplied.

Clean and dry

Shut down and unplug the MacBook. Follow Apple's surface-care advice, keep liquid away from openings and let the fitting area dry.

Use a stable workspace

Give the laptop enough room on a clean surface. Use good lighting and leave unused pieces on their backing.

Fitting your MacBook Pro skin

Use the video for the precise alignment points and application order.

  1. Check the whole perimeter

Compare all edges before firm pressure. A logo cut-out, where selected, is one reference point rather than the only one.

  2. Apply progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth gradually across the panel. Avoid stretching or pulling the vinyl.

  3. Match the remaining pieces

Fit only the panels included with your order. Leave vents, feet, hinges, speakers, ports and keyboard openings clear.

  4. Inspect the finished fit

Check edges and moving parts before normal use. Do not cut or trim a panel while it is attached to the laptop.

Installation questions

Will this skin fit another 16-inch MacBook?

Do not assume the fit is shared across generations. Check the exact models listed for the skin you ordered.

What about bubbles or lifting?

Do not use a pin or heavy pressure. Read our fitting troubleshooting guide.
