Can't see your model listed? Use a similar MacBook with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Panel shapes, cut-outs and alignment points may differ; always use a skin made for your exact laptop. Clear skins need separate instructions; do not wet-fit a laptop using phone instructions.

Before you start

Check the specification

Match your MacBook model, size and year to the order. Identify top, bottom or interior pieces only where included.

Clean and dry

Shut down and unplug your laptop. Follow Apple's cleaning advice, keeping moisture away from ports, keys and other openings.

Make room to work

Use a clean, stable surface and clean, dry hands. Watch the video first with your supplied instructions beside you.

Fitting your MacBook skin

Use the video for the exact backing-removal method and application order.

  1. Check the edges

Compare all intended outer edges before pressing firmly. Check any logo cut-out alongside the edges, not in isolation.

  2. Apply gradually

Smooth down progressively as shown. Do not stretch a large panel or pull it to correct alignment.

  3. Finish carefully

Use gentle warmth only where the fitting instructions call for it. Do not use a heat gun or overheat the laptop.

  4. Inspect the clearances

Keep vents, ports, hinges, keyboard and trackpad unobstructed. Fit only the surfaces covered by your chosen option.

Installation questions

Should I align using the Apple logo alone?

No. Check the intended outer edges and the reference points in the video together before pressing the panel down.

What if the top panel does not match?

Confirm the model, size and year. Do not stretch or trim it on the laptop. See our fitting troubleshooting guide or contact us.
