Check the specification
Match your Surface Laptop generation and size to the order. Fit only the exterior or interior sections specifically included.
Clean and dry
Shut down and unplug the laptop. Follow Microsoft's surface-care advice and keep cleaning moisture away from keys and openings.
Make room to work
Use a clean, stable surface and clean, dry hands. Watch the video first with your fitting instructions nearby.
Fitting your Surface Laptop skin
Use the video for exact positioning and order. Do not apply an exterior panel to a different material or surface.

Check all edges
Compare the intended outer edges and any logo cut-out before pressing. Do not stretch a panel to make a corner reach.

Apply progressively
Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth gradually, avoiding repeated lifting and pulling.

Finish carefully
Use gentle warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or overheat the laptop.

Keep vents, ports, hinges, keyboard and trackpad unobstructed. Inspect the edges before returning to normal use.
