Can't see your model listed? Use a similar controller with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Shapes and cut-outs may differ, so always use a skin made for your exact controller. Clear skins require separate instructions.

Before you start

Check the version

Match the exact controller and coverage to your order. Identify each intended piece and leave unused sections on the backing.

Clean and dry

Switch off and unplug the controller. Follow Sony's cleaning advice and keep moisture away from controls and openings.

Prepare your space

Use clean, dry hands and a stable, well-lit surface. Watch the video first with your supplied instructions beside you.

Fitting your PS4 controller skin

Use the video for exact positioning and order.

  1. Align the openings

Compare stick and button cut-outs before pressing. Do not stretch the vinyl to make an opening reach.

  2. Smooth gradually

Follow the backing-removal method shown and work progressively without repeatedly pulling the adhesive.

  3. Take care on grips

Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or overheat the controller.

  4. Check free movement

Keep sticks, triggers, buttons, speaker openings and ports clear. Stop if a skin edge catches a control.
