Can't see your model listed? Use a similar headset with the same skin type for the basic method. Shapes and cut-outs may differ: always use a skin made for your exact headset. Do not wet-fit headphone or headset skins.

Before you start

Check Pulse 3D

Confirm the headset model on your order, not another PlayStation headset. Identify each piece and intended side.

Clean and dry

Turn off and unplug the headset. Follow Sony's cleaning guidance, keeping moisture away from openings and cushions.

Prepare your workspace

Use clean hands and good lighting. Leave unused sections on the backing and follow the supplied instructions.

Fitting your Pulse 3D skin

  1. Check control-area alignment

Compare each perimeter and cut-out before pressing. Do not stretch a piece around a button or port.

  2. Apply gradually

Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth progressively, avoiding unnecessary adhesive handling.

  3. Finish curved areas

Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or overheat the headset.

  4. Inspect the finish

Keep microphones, controls, ports and acoustic openings clear. Cushions, adjustment and moving parts must remain unobstructed.

Installation questions

Can I use a different PlayStation headset skin?

Use the template made for Pulse 3D. A similar fitting method does not mean other headset skins are interchangeable.

What about wrinkles or lifting?

Do not stretch the vinyl further. Read our troubleshooting guide or send a photo.
