Confirm the model
Check MDR-ZX310 on your order and identify the intended left and right pieces before peeling.
Clean and dry
Disconnect the headphones. Follow Sony's cleaning guidance, keep moisture away from cushions and openings, and allow surfaces to dry.
Prepare to fit
Use clean hands and good lighting. Keep unused pieces on the backing and the fitting instructions beside you.
Fitting your Sony MDR-ZX310 skin

Compare each piece
Check its perimeter and intended orientation before pressing firmly. Do not stretch vinyl to compensate for a mismatch.

Apply progressively
Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth a little at a time, avoiding repeated adhesive handling.

Finish the curves
Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Avoid heat guns, excessive heat and pressure on the ear cushions.

Check movement
Keep cable entry points, acoustic openings, cushions and moving parts clear. Adjustment should remain unobstructed.
Installation questions
What if the piece catches when the cup moves?
Stop and check its position and the intended coverage. Do not force movement or trim vinyl on the headphones; send us a photo.
