Can't see your model listed? A similar laptop with the same skin type can demonstrate the basic method. Panel shapes and openings may differ: always use the correct model-specific skin. Do not wet-fit laptops.

Before you start

Confirm 15 R4

Check the full model name, not just Alienware or the screen size. Match each piece to the intended surface.

Power off and prepare

Shut down, unplug and let the laptop cool. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning advice and let surfaces dry.

Make space

Use a clean, stable surface and good lighting. Keep unused panels on their backing and follow the supplied instructions.

Fitting your Alienware skin

Use the video for precise positioning and application order.

  1. Compare all reference points

Check the panel perimeter and intended cut-outs together before pressing firmly. Do not stretch the skin to correct alignment.

  2. Apply progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown. Smooth gradually across each panel without trapping folds.

  3. Leave airflow clear

Keep every vent, grille, port and foot unobstructed. Fit only to the intended exterior surfaces.

  4. Inspect the finished fit

Check hinges, controls and edges before normal use. Do not cut or trim vinyl while it is on the laptop.

Installation questions

Can a panel cover part of a vent?

No. Stop and check the model and orientation if a piece obstructs ventilation or another functional opening.

What about bubbles or lifting?

Avoid pins and heavy pressure. Read our fitting troubleshooting guide.
