How to apply an iPhone 8 skin
Watch first. Fit with confidence.
iPhone 8 skin installation video
Follow our iPhone 8 fitting video and use the reminders below as you work. Check that your skin is for iPhone 8, not iPhone 8 Plus, before removing the backing.
Fitting a clear skin? Use the clear-skin wet-fitting guide instead of these dry-vinyl reminders.

Can't see your model listed? Use a similar model with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Cut-outs and alignment points may differ: always use a skin made for your exact device. Clear skins need the separate wet-fitting guide.
A little preparation goes a long way
Before you start
Check the pieces
Match your order to iPhone 8. Identify the sections you ordered and leave unused pieces on the backing.
Clean and dry
Switch off and unplug your phone. Follow the manufacturer's surface-care instructions and let the fitting surfaces dry fully.
Set up your space
Use clean, dry hands and a well-lit workspace. Watch the video first and keep your supplied instructions nearby.

-
Check the alignment
Check the outer edges and camera cut-out together before pressing firmly. Do not stretch the vinyl to correct an alignment error.
-
Apply gradually
Follow the backing-removal method shown. Smooth down progressively without touching the adhesive.
-
Finish the edges
Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Do not use a heat gun or make the phone hot.
-
Check before use
Keep buttons, ports and camera openings clear. Avoid forcing a tight case over an edge that catches.
Installation questions
Will the Plus skin fit this phone?
Use the skin made for your exact model. A shared fitting technique does not make different sizes interchangeable.
What if a cut-out will not line up?
Stop and check the model, piece and orientation. Do not cut the skin on the phone or pull it into place; send us a photo for help.
What about bubbles or lifting?
Do not use a pin or extra force. See our bubbles, wrinkles and lifting guide.
