iPhone X skin installation video

Follow the iPhone X fitting video before applying your skin. Use the camera opening and outer edges as a combined alignment check, rather than pressing the back down straight away.

Can't see your model listed? Use a similar model with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Cut-outs and alignment points may differ: always use a skin made for your exact device. Clear skins need the separate wet-fitting guide.

A little preparation goes a long way

Before you start

Confirm iPhone X

Check the model on your order rather than judging by appearance. Lay out the sections you intend to fit.

Clean and dry

Switch off and unplug your phone. Follow the manufacturer's surface-care advice and allow the fitting area to dry.

Watch before peeling

Use clean hands, good lighting and your supplied instructions. Keep unused pieces on their backing.

Fitting your iPhone X skin

Use the video for the exact piece placement and application order. Coverage depends on your selected option.

  1. Line up the back

Check the camera cut-out and surrounding edges before pressing firmly. Do not pull one corner to compensate for another.

  2. Work progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown and smooth down a little at a time, avoiding the adhesive.

  3. Finish shaped areas

Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Avoid excessive heat or stretching the vinyl.

  4. Inspect each opening

Keep cameras, buttons and ports clear. A case should not drag against a newly fitted edge.

Installation questions

Can I fit a skin labelled for another iPhone?

Use a skin made for the model on your order. A similar-looking phone can still need different cut-outs or alignment.

What if the camera opening looks wrong?

Stop and check the model and orientation. Do not cut the skin while it is on your phone or stretch it into place.

What about bubbles or wrinkles?

Do not use a pin or extra force. Read our fitting troubleshooting guide or send us a photo.
