Watch first. Fit with confidence.
iPhone XS / XS Max skin installation video
Follow our XS and XS Max fitting guide, using the skin made for your exact size. The shared video explains the fitting approach; it does not make the two skins interchangeable.

Can't see your model listed? Use a similar model with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Cut-outs and alignment points may differ: always use a skin made for your exact device. Clear skins need the separate wet-fitting guide.
A little preparation goes a long way
Before you start
XS or XS Max?
Check the exact model and your order. Identify each supplied piece before taking it off the backing.
Clean and dry
Switch off and unplug your phone. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning advice and let fitting surfaces dry completely.
Watch the method
Have clean hands and good lighting. Keep the supplied instructions nearby and unused pieces on the backing.
Fitting your XS or XS Max skin
Follow the video for positioning and order, fitting only the sections included in your chosen coverage.
-
Check all reference points
Compare the camera opening and outer edges together. Do not stretch a piece to make it fit a different size.
-
Smooth it gradually
Follow the backing-removal method shown. Work progressively rather than pressing the entire piece down at once.
-
Finish curves carefully
Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where the instructions call for it. Avoid a heat gun and excessive heat.
-
Inspect the edges
Keep controls and openings unobstructed. Check that a case does not catch or drag against the skin.
Installation questions
Does one skin fit both XS and XS Max?
No. The video covers the fitting approach, but you must use the skin made for your exact model and size.
What if an edge or camera cut-out is wrong?
Stop and check the model, piece and orientation. Do not stretch or cut the skin on your phone; send a photo for help.
What about trapped air or creases?
Do not use a pin or extra force. Read our fitting troubleshooting guide.
