LG G6 skin installation video

Follow our LG G6 fitting video and check the placement of each piece before pressing it down. Match the exact model on your order rather than using a skin for another LG phone.

Can't see your model listed? Use a similar model with the same skin type for the basic fitting method. Cut-outs and alignment points may differ: always use a skin made for your exact device. Clear skins need the separate wet-fitting guide.

A little preparation goes a long way

Before you start

Check the G6 pieces

Match the model, finish and selected coverage to your order. Leave unused pieces on the backing.

Clean and dry

Switch off and unplug the phone. Follow the manufacturer's surface-care advice and allow fitting surfaces to dry fully.

Prepare your workspace

Use clean, dry hands and good lighting. Watch the video first with the supplied instructions nearby.

Fitting your LG G6 skin

Use the video for the exact placement and order of the sections you received.

  1. Check the reference points

Compare the camera and other cut-outs with the outer edges before pressing firmly. Do not stretch the vinyl to correct the position.

  2. Apply progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown. Smooth down gradually without touching the adhesive.

  3. Finish the edges

Use gentle hairdryer warmth only where instructed. Avoid a heat gun and do not make the phone hot.

  4. Check the openings

Keep cameras, sensors, controls and ports clear. Do not force a case over an edge that catches.

Installation questions

Can I use another LG model's guide?

A similar model with the same skin type can demonstrate the basic method. The skin itself must still be made for your exact device.

What if a cut-out does not line up?

Stop and check the model, orientation and intended surface. Do not cut the skin on the phone or stretch it into place.

What about bubbles or lifting?

Do not use a pin or extra force. Read our fitting troubleshooting guide.
