Xbox One X skin installation video

Follow our Xbox One X video before applying the larger panels. Confirm One X on your order—not One S or Series X—and identify each piece while it is still on the backing.

Pause and replay each stage. Watch on YouTube ↗

Can't see your model listed? A similar console with the same skin type can show the basic fitting method. Panel shapes and alignment points may differ: always use a skin made for your exact console.

Before you start

Check One X

Match the model and coverage to your order. Leave unused pieces on the backing.

Power down and clean

Shut down, unplug and let the console cool. Follow the manufacturer's surface-care advice and let surfaces dry fully. Do not wet-fit the console.

Make room to work

Use a clean, stable surface with space for the larger panels. Watch first and keep your supplied instructions nearby.

Fitting your Xbox One X skin

Use the video for the exact panel placement and application order.

  1. Identify each panel

Compare the shape, edges and openings with the intended surface. Do not assume similarly sized pieces fit the same area.

  2. Check opposite edges

Check the full panel alignment before pressing firmly. Do not stretch the vinyl to compensate for a skewed starting position.

  3. Smooth progressively

Follow the backing-removal method shown and work gradually. Keep the adhesive away from dust and your fingers.

  4. Keep airflow clear

Make sure vents, ports, controls and the disc opening remain unobstructed. Do not bridge gaps or wrap vinyl into openings.

Installation questions

Is this the Xbox Series X guide?

No. Use the Xbox Series X guide for that model. Your skin must match your exact console.

What if a panel is misaligned?

Stop and check its intended surface and orientation. Do not stretch it or cut it while it is on the console. Send us a photo before trying again.

What about wrinkles or lifting?

Read our fitting troubleshooting guide. Do not use a pin or excessive pressure.
