Clear Matt or Clear Gloss?

Clear Matt: a quieter surface appearance

Choose Clear Matt when you prefer less reflection while retaining the phone's underlying colour. It changes the surface finish rather than making the phone look exactly as it did uncovered.

This is our preference for an understated clear finish. It is a styling recommendation, not a measured ranking of grip or scratch resistance.

Clear Gloss: retain more shine

Choose Clear Gloss when you prefer a shiny surface. It leaves the original colour visible while adding the feel of the film itself.

Neither finish repairs damage underneath, and clear does not mean completely invisible from every angle. Edges, reflections and existing marks can remain noticeable.

Check the exact model and current options

Clear finishes are not offered on every device or every section. Start with the iPhone, Samsung or Google Pixel selector, then review the finishes and coverage on your product.

A back skin is not a display protector. On a folding phone, do not apply exterior film to the inner flexible screen, disturb factory display layers or assume that an outer-screen option is included.

Water resistance is not a fitting guarantee

The film does not make a device waterproof. Whether a phone is suitable for wet fitting depends on the product instructions, the device and its condition—not simply a water-resistance label.

Apple states that iPhone splash, water and dust resistance are not permanent and can reduce with normal wear. Read its water-resistance guidance and the instructions for your own manufacturer and model.

Do not wet-fit a device with cracked glass, loose panels, uncertain repairs or suspected seal damage. Ask us before ordering or fitting if suitability is unclear.

Why can clear film look cloudy or patchy?

Moisture remaining after wet fitting can temporarily create a hazy or uneven appearance while the film settles. Freshly fitted clear film is not always showing its final appearance.

Follow the fitting instructions and allow the advised drying period without repeatedly lifting the edges. Patchiness can improve over several days, but we cannot promise that every mark will clear: trapped debris, creasing, alignment and the condition underneath can also affect the result.

When to send a photograph

Contact us if the appearance is not improving after the instructed settling period, if there is a fixed speck or crease, or if an edge keeps lifting. Include the model, finish, fitting date and a clear overall photo plus a close-up.

What protection does clear film provide?

It puts a thin layer over the selected surface to help with light scratches and scuffs. It does not cushion a drop, protect areas it does not cover or restore an already damaged finish.

Do not force a case over freshly fitted film or assume that every tight accessory leaves enough clearance. Follow the settling instructions and check for edges being caught.

After fitting

Once the film has settled, use gentle care and avoid picking at its edges. Do not try to clean underneath it by adding liquid. Our aftercare guide separates cleaning the film from preparing the original phone surface.

When replacing it, follow the removal guide, inspecting the device's condition first. Do not assume an old film can be lifted and reapplied without changing its appearance or adhesion.
