Custom
Select Body, Trackpad or both, then mix compatible colours and textures. Leave the trackpad unskinned by choosing Body alone.
A trackpad skin changes the texture under your fingers. Check normal movement, clicking and gestures after fitting. Keep keys, connectors and moving joints clear; never force the keyboard closed.
A finish that works with your desk.
Textured Matt gives a quieter colour change. Carbon Fibre, Brushed Metal, Wood and Leather offer different vinyl effects; Onyx, Abstract and Doodles provide printed alternatives where listed. Pattern placement can vary between cuts.
These are decorative finishes rather than replacement natural-material parts. Read the Magic Keyboard skin guide for coverage and care advice.
Important: care with the soft-touch finish.
The keyboard's soft-touch exterior can mark or lift when adhesive vinyl is removed. Inspect the original material before fitting and do not apply a skin over peeling or unstable surfaces.
Remove slowly and carefully, never with a sharp pull. Gentle warmth may help only where the removal instructions call for it. Stop if the underlying covering begins to lift. Read our removal guide; no risk-free removal guarantee is made for a worn or delicate surface.
Fit the keyboard separately from the tablet.
Detach the iPad and follow the supplied instructions and installation help. These coloured and textured skins are dry fitted.

Use suitable care instructions for the surface and let it dry.

Position each piece against its intended reference edges.

Work gradually, avoiding dust, stretching and unintended overlaps.

Test opening, closing, typing and any selected trackpad coverage without force.

Match the iPad itself
Choose a separate 11-inch M4 iPad skin or 11-inch M5 iPad skin. Tablet vinyl is not part of this keyboard kit.

Choose the listing for the actual keyboard version. The iPad's screen size alone does not establish the correct skin template.
Can I leave the trackpad uncovered?

Are the keys covered?
No. Body refers to the keyboard surfaces shown in the preview, not individual key stickers.
Can I remove it without any risk?
Soft-touch material needs extra care and can mark or lift. Read the warning above and remove slowly; stop if the underlying finish moves.
